The effects of multiple modes and reduced symmetry on the rapidity and robustness of slow contraction

We demonstrate that the rapidity and robustness of slow contraction in homogenizing flattening universe found simulations which initial conditions were restricted to non-perturbative variations described by a single fourier mode along only spatial direction are general enhanced if two directions, include multiple modes, thereby have reduced symmetry. Particularly significant shear effects become possible when allowed or more dimensions. Based on numerical results, we conjecture counterintuitive enhancement occurs because degrees freedom activated drive spacetime away from an unstable Kasner fixed point towards stable Friedmann-Robertson-Walker point.
